Questionnaire layout

To improve the response rate and limit the number of respondents who quit before finishing, the questionnaire layout should take into account the following:

  • Organize your questionnaire as paragraphs with transitional phrases to make it easier for the respondent to follow.
  • Put several questions on the same page (3 to 4) to limit the number of clicks required to access the following page. For mobile phones, present one question per page.
  • In general, deactivate a return to the preceding page, except for individual evaluations or training questionnaires.
  • Filters (“if the answer is A, go to question 5 via”) and display conditions (“if the answer to the precedent question is A, do not display item X via”) allow adapting the questionnaire to each respondent profile.
